Class 6500

Addressograph Class 6500 Graphotype

This machine was just offered on eBay.  This is the first Class 6500 machine we have seen offered on eBay for sale since we have been monitoring eBay.

Graphotype.net does not have any information on the Class 6500 machine - if anyone has any information on this machine we would like to hear from you.  We are seeking photos, manuals, specification or any other information related to this Class of machine.

The seller of the machine posted this description:

"Used Addressograph 6500 Electric Debossing / Dog Tag Making Machine. This came from a closed military base. We just had it in to an Addressograph Service Technician and he gave it a tune up and replaced a capacitor so it works very well. We will include the invoice. The service tech is incredibly knowledgeable about this machine and can help the buyer out with any questions or future service issues.

Debosses metal plates. Adjusts easily with a lever on the machine to deboss from 1 - 9 lines of type. It is set up right now for a flat dog tag sized metal and 5 lines of text, the clamp may have to be adjusted to allow for a rolled edge. You need an Allen Wrench to adjust the clamp for using a thicker (rolled) edge. The margins and tabs are also adjustable with levers on the machine

Adjustable:

Simple adjustments from 1-9 lines of print
Simple adjustments from 1-35 character spacing
Keys Include:

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 *
Normal Keyboard letters as well as Shift Lock and Shift Key (A-Z)
Erase Key (More like a backspace)
Repeat Key (Will Repeat the last character chosen up to 4 times, then resets
This machine plugs normal household outlets. It includes a molded, padded, airtight, protective carrying / shipping container. Take it right to the Car Show or anywhere! The machine is heavy and measures about 17" left to right, 23-1/2" front to back and 13" tall. The carrying case measures about 32" long x 28" wide x 24" tall.

A variety of sizes of plates or dog tags
Stainless Steel tags up to 15,000ths
Brass Tags with adjustments

Another elusive Graphotype 6500 has appeared on eBay.

This machine is in less than sterling shape but could more than likely be fixed up. 

We will post information about this machine after the auction closes.
